After years of the same layout used for the Songs page, which allows fans to find the lyrics and tabs to Dave Matthews Band songs quickly and easily, we have enhanced it to make it not only more visually pleasing, but a whole lot easier to use too. We have added a drop-down list that has all songs in alphabetical order, and if lists aren’t your thing, you can always scroll down the list, faster and easier than ever before! We over here at dmbfansite.org would like to wish you all Happy Holidays! Even though we didn’t get a new album under our trees this year, we got the next best thing – a set date for its release! Enjoy your time off everybody, while it lasts

DMB Fan Site is finally stepping it up a notch, and in the coming month we will be introducing audio and video podcasts. Every new episode will be posted on the main site, and can be listened to directly from the site, or from your favourite podcast player, such as iTunes. The first episode will arrive in January; we’re just finalizing everything first. Also, marking a new milestone for the site, we have surpassed 400 wallpapers, 10% of which (40) are available in widescreen (1200×900 and larger) format! Hope you all enjoy the latest additions As always, the wallpapers can be accessed through Media->Wallpaper.

Finally, after months of eager waiting, users can now upload wallpapers directly to the site, with very little effort involved! This is a huge step in helping make DMBFanSite the largest Dave Matthews Band wallpaper collection on the internet. We already have over 340 wallpapers, and you our users will be able to make that grow. To upload your wallpapers, just go to: http://www.dmbfansite.org/wallpaper/upload.php

We have added a new widget to our site. This tour widget, from Schmap, will allow you, our readers, to view the latest DMB tour dates, giving you a visual representation of where the band will be going this summer, as well as the ability to zoom in on each venue. Hope you all enjoy it. Thanks to Schmap once again for the widget.

We’ve decided to take a whole new direction with the site, and we have! To start things off, I’m sure all of you notice that the new URL to the site is no longer dmbfansite.com, as .com standed for commercial. No, we couldn’t confuse you – we are a not-for-profit site. Now, our new url is dmbfansite.org, because we are a gathering, an organization of DMB fans across the globe! Next, we have a new web host – Topclasshost. They are highly recommended by the way and can be found under the links section. Because of this host change we now have MySQL, PHP, and many other benefits that were never thought possible before. First of all, the wallpaper will work at all times, as I am no longer hosting it on my personal computer, and will load much faster. There will also be various updates in days to come throughout the site.

Our next major change is our forum – we have transferred to phpBB3, the newest and most user-friendly forum available. All who were registered on our earlier system have been automatically re-registered and their new e-mail has been sent out. Our forum can be accessed through: forums.dmbfansite.org.

Our most efficient change however is our news system. We have updated to Wordpress after many problems. However now we are looking for a news reporter, so if you’re interested you can use our new contact us page to send us your inquiry.

As you can see, we have implemented a new menu system throughout the site. It will help you find what you need, faster. For example, wallpapers are now immediately accessible, instead of having to navigate to media first. It also keeps the same sleek look. Enjoy.
